Evaluation.

I have looked over the project itself and i really like the way i designed the final piece and how it came together in the end as i was not 100% sure at the start of me drawing the image. This meant as i was drawing he image itself i was coming up with ideas to create something better out of it as i went a long. 

I think if was to really take this project back and take upon the ideas that i have seen throughout this project i think i would take a lot more time in creating something to add to it was a lot more graphical towards Twitter itself.

In this project i am really happy about the image and the choice of artist i chose to take forward which was Obey because i have a really big interest in his work and was really happy to see that the work he created was linking to Propaganda. So when i went through his images i looked at both the propaganda from the ages and his work to see if i could really link these together and see how much the colours will fit together and then i was really pleased that he based a lot of his work on Chinese stylized posters. I think looking back in this process i dont think i would have changed anything from the choices that i made because i think they where really good choices because i think it really helped me answer the brief really well.

The colour scheme in my project is really good because i think i have followed the colours of the era and i have followed the colours of the artist that i really liked this is because they both use very similar tastes when creating there work. I think there possibly could have been some changes because i decided not to use block colours because i didn't think this worked as well, this is because i think that it would really made the fist look not as effective and i think the brightness of the red would have drawn the attention away from the fist.

This project really did take me a long time because i put a lot of effort into drawing my image because i really wanted it to have a lot of detail and i wanted to colour it in and because the lines are not connected and not linked they had to all be colored in using the blob tool which was frustrating but in the end it really gave it a good effect overall. But i think it would have been a lot shorted if i spent a few days really drawing and spending time on the project which would have then given me a lot more time to do the details in my sketch book because i think out of everything the sketch book is really lacking development in my ideas because of this.

I think the techniques that i used in this project where really effective because it made my final piece really effective. I only used a lot of the basic tools but when creating the background i did go into more complex tools because i wanted the background to really stand out as well as the main focal image of the project. I think if i was to go through this part again i think i would really think about adding connected paths because then i could have filled the image a lot quicker and effectively with not as many gaps around the outside.

I showed my work to the class and put it up for crit so that i could get some feedback on my image and think all in all the feedback was very good and most people liked my work and what i had created, the overall really liked the design and the power of the main image and how much it stood out.


I think overall i answered the brief as i created something that fitted a theme and the project. With creating a poster that worked with an artist feel a long side.
